Gus is all set to join hands with Ozzy Osbourne. It'll be very hard to follow Randy Rhodes and Zakk Wylde's footsteps, loads is expected from this guy.
ReplyDeleteOzzy didn't want Zakk anymore because he thought his band had begun to sound a lot like the Black Label Society. He isn't much anymore, Zakk was the one who kept him going..Was quite unfortunate indeed. His latest album 'Black Rain' wasn't too bad at all.
Gus G is good, but Zakk was a huge part of Ozzy's sound.
ReplyDeletehe was but the signature ozzy guitarist for me will always be randy rhoads .. its true that with zakk wylde in ozzy osbourne, i couldnt differentiate much between Ozzy Osbourne and Black Label Society
ReplyDeleteI think No Rest For The Wicked and No More Tears sound nothing like Black Label Society.
ReplyDeleteObviously Zakk has his own signature style of playing guitar, so you're going to see that in whatever band he plays in. Unfortunately he's gone from a really good songwriter, to a really mediocre one. He needs to spend some time writing some good songs.
