AEROSMITH singer Steven Tyler joined Perry onstage in New York earlier this month while the latter was touring with his JOE PERRY PROJECT solo band, telling the crowd that he wasn't quitting AEROSMITH. "[Tyler] walked into the club right at the encore because he didn't really know what songs we had played up 'till them," Perry told Gazer. "But we had 'Walk This Way' left [to play] and I thought I would give the fans a treat and have him come and sit in with my band. He came in, he sang and he left. I looked around afterwards, because we played one more song, and I went back looking for him and he was gone. They said he just walked off the stage and left."
Joe Perry's fifth solo album, "Have Guitar, Will Travel", will be released in Japan on December 23. The Japanese edition of the album will include two bonus tracks — "Dream On" (AEROSMITH) and "Revolution" (THE BEATLES).
"Have Guitar, Will Travel" was released in the U.S. on October 6 viaRoman Records. The hard-driving, ten-song, in your face, collection features Perry's trademark rock and blues ferocity. Recorded this past spring at the BoneYard, Perry's state-of-the-art home studio, whereAEROSMITH's "Honkin' On Bobo" and "Just Push Play" were recorded,"Have Guitar, Will Travel" is entirely written and produced by Perry.
